Our extensive experience in protein analysis allows us to provide comprehensive, high-quality services and reliable results within a guaranteed time.
Background
Proteins, also known as polypeptides, are macromolecules made from long chains of amino acid residues. The differences in the type, number, and sequence of amino acid residues and the three-dimensional structure of proteins determine their different physicochemical properties and biological activities. Proteins are the major players in virtually all cell functions. The main characteristic of proteins is their ability to specifically bind tightly to other molecules, giving them a diverse range of functions. A broad range of experimental techniques for the detection, purification, identification, and characterization can be used to perform protein analysis, providing useful information about the purity, structure, conformation, properties, and activities of proteins.
Protein phosphorylation is tightly associated with protein activity and is of fundamental importance in biological regulation. Different kinases and phosphatases are involved in protein phosphorylation, allowing for combinatorial regulation at the post-translational level. Therefore, in-depth analysis of kinases, phosphatases, and their protein substrates is indispensable for understanding the regulatory mechanisms of multiple biological processes.
